, its not some woefnrdul brilliant thing that Chinese do, they have no choice. Your claim that somehow the Chinese save money, and its sent here to the USA to fund spending is just false, an impossibility.

We went to First on 16th September. One word disbreces the venue, staff, food, management – outstanding. The best thing is a lot of the dishes comes in half portions so you can try several different things. Each dish – whether half or full portion – is treated with individual loving care. There wasn’t anything we tried that we did not like or would not order again. At First you definitely eat with all of your senses – each dish looks magnificent. Our taxi home was late. So the owner not only called them to ‘chase-up’ but also gave us a free drink whilst we waited. Fabulous! We just wish there was a ‘First’ in Chislehurst – we’d be in there every week. Thanks for a great time.Jane & Wayne James

Hi all you bubble heads in canada, served in H.M.S.Astute 61 -63. Only good memories came from Halifax even
though we did all the running for the
other 'sick'(we couldn't possibly go to sea) submarines out there at the time.
Would love to renew aquaintances if any
one out there knows me.

DBF! Just re-connected with SAOC recently, also have joined multiple sites for submariners on Facebook, notably the Ojibwa project.
Currently I am unemployed (my choice), but am starting to think about becoming a working stiff again. any ideas?
Site looks awesome. Its amazing what some people dedicate themselves to. Thank you.

I was OJ's Radio Lady from 66 to 68 and now I'm working on the project to bring her to Ontario to end her days as a Submarine Museum. Looking forward to telling the story on my next visit to Slackerfax

Two words: sutacrtrul separtion. But I had to laugh at Incumbent telco BT, which has been dragged kicking and screaming into unbundling, is now demanding similar access to Virgin’s cable network.
|
-19:
SusanInteresting. The even tgouher one is the “gentlemen’s agreement” between most cable companies and most telcos to not compete on price. That’s even harder to deal with, but is central to broadband and I believe TV package pricing. Price has been going up while the costs of delivering the technology have been going down. But there’s every reason to think that this is accomplished by public signaling, not backroom meetings. I don’t think the antitrust people know how to deal with that problem. db
